it is with great saddness that I must announce the SEPT 20th NY Empire S.N.A.F.U. show is cancelled. I had been warned by many sources that the gallery was not trust worthy and I failed to take heed. Perhaps hubris blinded me to some obvious danger signals? Now after spending several thousand dollars and hundreds of hours preparing the space, i have been excluded from the show.
Perhaps iI will relate the full story later but at the moment I MUST focus on the following issue.
Almost the entire Work of S.N.A.F.U is currently in NY. Cynthia Von Buhler has given me permission to safely park the work at her new Gallery in NY for the next week. AFTER THAT IT HAS NOWHERE TO GO EXCEPT DEAD STORAGE BACK IN MA.!
If any of you on this list have any connections/knowledge of any Art/ performance spaces where I might be able to set up the show on short notice in the NY area, please contact me asap. This an emergency.
I am looking for a secure space, of about a thousand square feet that I would have acces to for about a month. There is the posibility of my doing a series of events during that time, charging at the door, and generating some cash for for the owner of the space.
