FREAKS A COSTUME BALL AND ART EXHIBIT!! OCTOBER 25TH 2003 10PM-3AM
RARE Manhattan appearance !! Immense traveling museum of mechanical dioramas and peepshows constructed by the great deceased visionary known as S.N.A.F.U. S.N.A.F.U.'s shrines are a feverish mélange of dystopian technology, sexual obsolescence, & religion... all the icons and taboos of humanity distilled into one aesthetically cohesive temple of detritus. S.N.A.F.U.'s work has been compared to that of Hieronymus Bosch, Francisco Goya, William Blake, Joseph Cornell, The Brothers Quay, Ed Kienholz, Mathew Barney, and Henry Darger. This installation is brought to you by The Empire S.N.A.F.U. Restoration Project; dedicated to preserving S.N.A.F.U.'s legacy for more than a decade.
